Since the last update, the Nu class has been initiated into LKT. Almost all of our new members now have profiles listed under their houses, with the rest of the profiles coming up as information is submitted.
One of our members, Ruby Orth, has written a review of the 2013 movie Under the Skin, which you can find here.
Several new episodes of the Hollywood Huddle have been posted as well. You can check out the latest episode here.
A new member is featured on the front page, our historian Kara Barbes. The latest featured video, No Sleep Tonight, is one of the 48 hour videos made a few semesters ago. You can watch that video over here.
We've also recently completed a round of 24 hour challenges, and those videos will be posted soon.
Welcome to the all new LKT website! There's a lot going on here, so I'll start with the home page.
The home page is redesigned to feature what LKT is all about: production. The page will constantly be updated featuring a member, a specific video, and some sort of work that a member has worked on, whether it be a blog, a set of photos, or a theatre performance.
The biggest change to our About section shows all 9 of our houses, and each page can show the members in each house. Clicking on any member will take you to our newest project: member profiles.
Member profiles are an ongoing effort to showcase the work everyone in LKT has been doing. Members are encouraged to keep sending in work they're proud of to show on their profile. On top of videos, basic info such as a member's join date, their class, big and littles, and other info can be seen on profiles. If a member happens to have their own personal website, those will be featured as well.
Our new production page will show off our major events, including our timed challenges, as well as annual events, such as Halfway There. More productions will be added over time, and pages such as a BTS gallery are in the works.
Our philanthropy page now shows events that members have participated in, starting with events from the spring of this year. Relay for Life will have a stronger presence on the site as the event gets closer.
The podcast page has been redesigned to promote the newest episode, as well as give you access to the main cast, along with other members that have made a guest appearance. Archives of all older episodes can be found on the page as well.
Everyone is encouraged to look around the site and give feedback on what they think works, and more importantly, what they'd like to see improved. Some great improvements have been made already thanks to the input from others, and I'd like to make the site as good as it can be. Any feedback regarding the site can be sent through our support page. The site will only get better over time, and I encourage members to be involved in that process.
Enjoy the site!
