Q: You were just inducted into LKT last semester, which is not that long ago, but how much would you say LKT has affected your college life so far?
A: Yes I was just inducted into LKT last semester, Xi class, and it has completely changed my life. LKT has given me over a hundred new friends that have the same interest as me. It’s an amazing feeling to be able to text a few people and quickly put a crew together to shoot a movie, especially when all those people are just as interested in film as I am. LKT has also made me more social, there isn’t a day where I’m not doing something. LKT has completely changed my life for the better.
Q: What would you say is your favorite job to do in film is? What about it do you like so much?
A: I’d say my favorite job to do in film would be editing. I love the fact that an editor can completely change the feel and look of a movie. The editor can take a horror film and edit it like a comedy. I always look at editing like a giant puzzle with no picture on the box. The movie comes in hours and hours of footage and the editors’ job is to turn that into a short film only minutes in length. Though every job is very important, an editor is the last step and it can make or break a movie.
Q: You have a big production for your Media Studio class coming up! Could you tell us a little about the project, and you're involvement with it?
A: My media studio project is being shot April 17th-19th and it’s an idea I’ve been working on for a few months. It’s a psychological horror starring Christy Czajkowski and Sam Martin. LKT has been a huge supporter towards the project as well; all the actors and crew are actually members of LKT. It’s been a long process to get this into gear but I’m very excited to see how it goes. It’s my first project that is entirely my own, I wrote it, I’m directing it, and I’m going to edit it. It’s a little intimidating to do this project but LKT has been a huge help and I can’t thank everyone enough.
